The original price quote was $595 for pick up on 11/12/10, date certain, with the reservation made with Don West, two weeks in advance. He assured me that the car would be transported for that price, and that there would be no bait and switch as I saw mentioned in some other reviews. Of course, Global called the day before to say they could not get a driver to pick up the car on that date for that price, but could get me a driver on the date I wanted (the next day) for a new price of $700. I took the new deal because I did not want to have to line up a new shipper for the very next day. I was not told that the car would be towed locally to another trucker, which is what happened. Global Express subcontracted the deal to ABA Auto Transport of Margate, FL. Delivery was to be on 11/16. No car, no call on 11/16, even though I had lined up people to meet my car in Florida. When I called on 11/17, I was told car would definitely be delivered that day, it was on the schedule. It was not, and we got no further call. Finally, the car arrived 11/18 after a lot of yelling and screaming on my part about how discourteous they were about other people's time since people were waiting at home for car to be delivered. BOTTOM LINE: dishonest pricing and dishonest service.
