Disorganized

I looked at several companies that could ship a car from here to Florida. Global Relogistics was the only one that said that you could pack stuff in your car. (By the way, you can put as much stuff in your car as you want. The truck drivers never care.) So, I went with them.

What followed was a disorganized mess. The person I dealt with said that I needed to return the contract right away. I filled it out, and emailed it back. One day passed. I got an email stating that they never got it. When I contacted them, they claimed their email system wasn't working right. I believe that was true, but maybe they should hire a programmer that knows how to fix the system then. I sent it via a different email that the woman provided me.

The next day, I got another message saying that they never got it. This time it was more than obvious that the person still had it on her desk, and had not done anything with it. She tried to make all kinds of excuses though. I said that it was no problem, and that we would just take care of it the next day because it was already getting late. She agreed to that.

What followed was an absolute nightmare involving my wife having to take phone calls at work from these guys, some dispatcher FROM GLOBAL RELOGISTICS telling me that it was too bad if we couldn't have the car ready in time, and me requesting a refund from this company which never even got answered.

I have to admit that the drivers were very cool, and took good care of things. That was probably because they were from another company.

I wouldn't use Global Relogistics again. I know that they were trying to get everything in order for us. The way that they handled themselves was just very disorganized. It was impossible to get anything else done while waiting for them to get their act together because you never knew when they were coming to pick up the car. I'm just thankful for the truck drivers. My advice is to try to go through the trucking companies directly, and never use one of these 'booking companies.' Not only would it have saved a huge headache, but also $175.
