Excellent service from beginning to end

I had never shipped a car before and I must admit that I was very apprehensive about doing so. I had heard that the auto shipping business was a racket and had read many nightmare stories on the internet that had me worried, to say the least. I tend to become very attached to my cars, and the thought of shipping off my 1987 Mercedes 560SL on a truck left me feeling a bit nauseous, especially since it was going all the way to Los Angeles, CA. After getting many quotes and much information from shippers online, I stumbled on Gold Star Transport. The fact that they were located within a couple of hours of me was what made me contact them originally, but my choice was made upon talking to Ellen on the phone. She was absolutely wonderful and immediately put my mind at ease. She was warm and caring and incredibly knowledgeable about the auto shipping business, but also very honest and forthright. I knew I could trust her and I knew I was in good hands. I found it a huge relief to know that at any time, I could reach Ellen directly (she gave me her personal cell phone number) and didn't have to jump through hoops to get information. She kept me informed every step of the way, and was always upbeat, friendly, and compassionate. Her husband, Rich, was also an enormous help and a pleasure to deal with. Several times, he contacted me when Ellen wasn't able to do so, and was also available at any time if I needed to speak with him. The fact that I could call either of them directly at any time allayed much of my fear.

The end result- The car arrived earlier than anticipated. The car was in perfect shape, with all belongings exactly where I had placed them when I dropped the car off with Ellen. The shipper itself was thorough and documented everything, even taking photos of the car himself.

Overall, it was an extremely positive experience. Ellen and Rich are to be commended for their exceptional customer service and knowledge. I would recommend Gold Star to anyone looking to ship a car. Thank you Ellen and Rich!
