I did what was probably a ridiculous amount of research on vehicle shipping companies before settling on Hilton, and had an excellent experience. As a result of being in the business for a relatively long time, Nichole doesn't use the load board that most other brokers rely on, but instead calls a limited list of preferred carriers directly. This meant that she was able to locate a carrier for me extremely fast. How fast? I called her (and several other brokers) up for a quote in the late morning, went home for lunch, and she called me back while I was on my way home to tell me that if I wanted to go with her, she had found a carrier who would take the price she'd quoted in the window I wanted it shipped. This is before I'd even booked with her, mind you. Add in the fact that her quote included by far the lowest broker's fee ("deposit" as they call it) and I was sold. That low broker's fee meant that the quote from Hilton was the lowest I could find, but the payment to the carrier was one of the highest (high fee to carrier=high chance of getting one quickly, and we did!).

This was good. What was less good is that I booked on June 20th for a pickup no earlier than June 30th. This was a bad idea on my part, as I now realize this puts you at risk of the driver changing plans in the interim. Which they did. I sent Nichole an e-mail on the 27th to make sure everything was good to go, she called me on the 28th to tell me it was not good to go, but called back later the same day with a new driver at the same price, with a slightly later pickup date (the 5th, instead of the 3rd). That wasn't Nicole's fault and she made it right, but I do wish she'd explained that possibility existed when I booked. This carrier, Eric's Express, was great, picked up on the 5th as promised, and made it from California to DC by the 10th, which is incredibly good time.

I would definitely recommend Hilton Auto Transport to anyone looking to ship your car cross country.
