I am unhappy to report that the very negative reviews that are posted along with this one are absolutely true. After seven (7) weeks of promised pickup dates and promised returned phone calls I am no closer to getting my 1932 Buick picked up than the day before I contacted Horseless Carriage.
To date, I have been given 5 different dates that the car would be picked up. Each time I was told that the office would contact me a day or two prior to the sceduled pickup date to confirm. I was also told that the driver or dispatch person would contact me 24 hours prior to give us the drivers arrival time. At no time has the office ever contacted me. Instead, I am the one who has had to contact them. Each of the 5 pickup dates has been changed the day before (even after the date had been confirmed the previous day). When I question the reason or how they could get the scheduling so wrong I get the same answer......."that is the way the transport business is". Each time i have been pushed forward to the following week ( or more). They like to remind you that they have been in business for 40 years and that they use their own drivers. I am still not sure how a company with that much experience using its own drivers could take 7 weeks to pick up a car they said would be picked up in 7-10 days.
Further research on my part has shown that Horseless Carriage transports mostly Company Owned Vehicles and not Privately Owned Vehicles. I guess as a Private Owner I am not worth the time, consideration, courtesy, or respect that Companies are.
I URGE EVERYONE CONSIDERING USING HORSELESS CARRIAGE AS THEIR CAR TRANSPORT COMPANY TO MAKE A WISE CHOICE AND LOOK ELSEWHERE.
I would have preferred being told that they couldn't pick up my car rather than being dragged along as I have been.
Again.....PLEASE TAKE MY ADVISE AND USE ANOTHER COMPANY.
