I called numerous, if not all car carriers for rates, terms etc., since I had not done this before. I decided to pay a little extra to have it shipped in an enclosed truck, and I'm glad I did. It was clean and undamaged. Horseless Carriage rate was in line with other carriers, and did not require pre-payment. Very knowledgable staff were able to tell me when the car would be picked up, where it was during the shipping, and exactly when it would be delivered. The corvair was picked up within 8 days of order, and delivered 10 days later. If I have another vehicle shipped for whatever reason, I would use Horseless Carriage again.
