Hello Peter
One important thing to understand as we explained is everyone contacting you is a broker, that why I explain the process we never touch you car and our job is to makes sure everything goes perfect.
As you said "Thankfully I called the broker and my car wasn't stolen just took two dam weeks." I was calling the carrier everyday to see what happened, the issue was the truck broke down (sometimes this happens like any logistic work).
One thing I cal tell you is we will hold your hand throughout the process and always pick the phone.
If the car was scratched or Rusted this would been covered by insurance as all cars are insured 100% with 0 deductible to you. (Rust doesn't appear that fast). When you receive the car you supposed to sign a bill of lading and any difference in the car god forbid something happens is covered by the issuance.
