Let me first say that I hate to leave negative feedback and have even waited a week to post so I could be fair but I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. I purchased a car in Houston, TX as a gift and needed it delivered by a certain date. I found IQ Transport on the internet and sent in a request for a shipping quote and explained this car was a gift and needed to arrive in Florida by Friday. Scott contacted me and said he had found a shipper who could deliver. I filled out all the paperwork and sent over my deposit. Although I never spoke to Scott only communicated by email he seemed to have things under contnrol. My car was scheduled to be picked up at the dealer in Houston on Tuesday, on Wednesday morning I called the number Scott gave me to check on the car while it was in transit. I got a women who could barley speak English and she told me my pick up was cancelled. I asked by whom and she did not know but she could arrange for the car to be picked up on Wednesday delaying the delivery until Saturday morning. I needed the car what was I supose to do but agree. I emailed Scott and he said he was unaware of any cancellation and would try and call the trucking company. He then replied with all I get is her answering maching. I called the trucking company on Friday night to see what time the car would be delivered for my husbands birthday party and the lady said 9am. At 11am I called and asked where the vehicle was still 5 hours away and they would be at my home by 2pm. At 5pm I called to ask where the vehicle was and she said the truck had been in an accident with my vehicle on it, my car had to be put on another trailer, then the next truck could not get into Florida because it did not have the correct permits. OMG what next ?? At 7pm that night an old pick up truck with an even older rickity trailer behind it shows up with my $50,000.00 Jaguar XKR.
The driver gets out and can not speak English and tells my husband to help him pull some old boards out to make a ramp to get my car off. The boarads are broken and he pieces him togehter, then the guy gets in my car to back it off and all I hear is screeeetching he does not take off the parking brake. He then tells me the battery went dead some how in transport and my remotes dont work. It gets better, the car has several large rock chips on the hood and 2 in the windshield. I am standing there trying to tell my husband suprise here is your birthday present while trying to keep my composure. A week later we are off to the body shop to get a quote for repairng the rock chips on the hood and getting the windshield replaced. I usually do my research but did not this time and really paid for it. OH and if your car is being delivered on the weekend IQ transport is closed so do not expect any kind of response.

Let me address some of the things Debbie brought up. 1) Mrs. Plott contacted us via our online chat and asked for a quote to move the car and was in a rush. I advised her that typically it can take a week to get a car picked up. She wanted it in Florida from Houston within 2-3 days. Which is very unlikely. Things just don't move that fast. I told her I'd look and not 15 minutes later I had a carrier that could pick it up. This is WAY over and above what normally happens in shipping cars. She was in a rush and said open was ok, while I advised an enclosed carrier for such a car. But the dealer had give her the run around and dropped the ball on shipping it. 2) We dispatched it to a carrier who called the dealer later that day and was told the car had already been shipped and that they didn't need them to pick it up. So the driver went on his way and evidently in the mean time communicated with Mrs. Plott more to find out what had happened. 3) I get an email and voicemail at 8am on Thursday while at the doctor's office with my 6 month old that it wasn't picked up. I called the carrier from the doc office and found out what had happened and told them it was still available and she told me she had another truck coming to Houston later that day. I also emailed Mrs. Plotts to let her know what had happened. The driver made his way to the dealer and due to traffic issues in Houston that day picked it up around 5pm. The dealer even admitted to me that they screwed up in not allowing the first driver to take the car. 4) I received an email that the car hadn't arrived Saturday morning, which I wasn't surprised as it wasn't picked up until late Thursday due to the dealer delaying things. I didn't expect it to arrive until Monday. I tried numerous times on Saturday to reach the carrier via phone or email and got no reply. So I could not give any updates as I could not make contact with the carrier. I tried up until about 5pm to reach them to no avail. 5)As far as any accident, I am not aware of what happened but accidents do happen and no one can control that. It sounds like to me in an attempt to get the car to Mrs. Plotts as quickly as they could they grabbed a local 1 car hauler to finish the move. I will admit that I am appalled if they used an unlicensed truck without regulation ramps. I will speak to them about this and will give them a negative rating for this. This is unacceptable. But again I don't have control over what a carrier does and again when an accident occurs they are just trying to fulfill the order for their customers. 6) Rock chips and windshield damage is a side effect sometimes of open carriers. This is why I advised an enclosed carrier. 7) Your comment about their English is uncalled for and out of line. This is America where we don't have an official language. People are allowed to speak whatever language they want in our country. And the fact of the matter is without the foreign decent drivers there would hardly be any car carriers because most Americans are too lazy to do the work they have to do and put up with for the measily amount of money they make. All and all the car was picked up and delivered within 48 hours which is outstanding and very rare. And no we don't answer phones on the weekend but do answer emails and respond to voicemails as needed.
