JTD Logistics was not the low bidder but was chosen because of Mr J. Davis' verbal claims of using only known, well insured carriers. When asked about what happens in the event of damage he said that JTD Logistics would pursue the matter with the carriers insurance co. Windshield damage was reported and recorded on the bill of lading at delivery 27 feb 2012 and with photo and estimate to JTD Logistics 2 mar. Mr davis said he would take care of it. Second request asking for status was made 7 mar again Mr J Davis said he would get right on it. Third request 13 mar resulted in Mr J Davis saying even though the carrier driver/owner did not pick up the vehicle originally you could read the write up made at pickup as listing the damage as a pit. My response as written at pickup on the bill of lading was that the damage was a break. I asked if he used third party carriers and he replied not w/o approval which he had not given, the owner/driver's web site indicates he has 1 vehicle w/ 2 drivers. Obviously the original pickup was done by another co. Finally Mr davis concluded from the picture that the damage was done by a rock and that the carrier's ins would not cover that damage. Mr Davis' and his co JTD Logistics failed to cover what was and was not covered when asked prior to the move and when notified of the damage failed to act in a timely manner in response to the damage report. The low bid broker and the $159 i'd have saved would have helped with the damage to the windshield. I do not recommend Mr Davis or his co JTD Logistics.
