Unexpected Cash Charges Demanded

For the pickup, I was contacted at 8:30 on a Friday night to be told I was to bring my car to them at 10:30 at night. I was able to move my time to the next day however, the drivers informed me they would be charging an additional $100 for shipping items in my trunk. They told me I needed to have that in cash upon delivery as that was their money, not the company's which sounded a little off to me. They also told me my car would be delivered in 4 days, not the 8 I had planned on. I wasn't even going to be in the same state as my car for a week. I told the driver I would do my best to work something out but I couldn't guarantee someone would be there, again explaining that's not the transit time I was sold on.
I confirmed several times with the dispatcher who booked my transport, both before and after, that I should not be charged for the items in my trunk and that the transit should be closer to the 8 days I agreed to. The dispatcher I worked with also confirmed with the driver's boss that the $100 the drivers were trying to charge me was not to be paid.
BUT, in the mean time, KJ Falcon's dispatcher called me several times to tell me this was my fault and I shouldn't have left my car to the drivers if I didn't intend to pay and that I couldn't be available to pick it up. I asked that they show a little ownership and contact Stateway (the company who booked my transit) to resolve any mis-communication but this was not an option. I was told that it was me who needed to figure this out.
Upon delivery I explained to the drivers that their boss confirmed no additional fees were necessary. The driver responded that if I didn't give him the money he was going to put my car back on the truck. Again, I contacted the dispatcher who said this was not standard. I ended up having to pay so I could get my key and be done with it. I don't appreciate being threatened or pushed around. There was a total lack of pleasant service of any kind.
The driver and his co-driver were bullies, unfriendly, and in my opinion, unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone and I certainly would not use them again.
