I purchased a 1967 Camaro in Belvidere Ilinois August 23, 2004. By August 27th we had contracted with Kanter to ship the car to us in Washington State. Kanter promised the car would be delivered the week of September 13th. September 7th I called to find out the status of the car, at that time they told me that the car had not been picked up yet and that their schedule was two weeks behind. They said the car would be delivered the week of the 27th.

On September 29th I called to find out the status of the car and to find out what kind of payment they would accept, they told me to make a cashiers check out to Diamond B Transport. They would have the driver call me Friday the 1st and the car would be delivered on Saturday the 2nd. of October. (So without my concent they used a third party transport carrier to ship my car).

No one called me Friday to make arrangements for delivery, so I called back, they assured someone would call me. No one called.
Saturday morning the 2nd of October I called Kanter and got a verison voice mail system (the kind employees use to check messages) and their was no way for me to leave a message. Finally in the afternoon someone answered and said he would call dispatch, and have someone return my call. No one called. No car. No one answered Sunday the 3rd.

Monday October 4th at 8:30am I called Kanter to find out why my car was not here, and why no one had called me. The Guy at the other end said he didn't know, but call Diamond B Transport. He gave the number to me and I called Diamond B. Diamond B told me they would call me right back with the cars location. In the mean time I called Kanter back and asked for the manager. I got the president of the company, and I explained the whole story to him, he said he would call back by the end of the day with an explaination. As soon as I hung up the phone rang and it was Diamond B transport, they told me they would pick the car up from Ilinois October 7th. and have it to me by the 14th. They didn't even have the car yet! I told them to cancell the order and I'd find someone more reliable than them and Kanter.
I called Kanter back and told them to cancell my shipping order and that I would find someone more reliable.

A few minutes later, Randy from Diamond B called, and explained that he wanted the job and that they had not received the pick up order untill September 24th. They had a trailer break an axle and that Kanter was informed almost daily about the timeline. They spoke with Alex and Marianne at Kanter. Diamond B seems trustworthy and honest and they called me back, which is more than I can say for Kanter.
