Hired Liberty to transport my car from PA to GA. Quoted $475 for the job. 1 hour before the driver arrived I was told that the fee was going to be $500. Was told to pay driver $400 and the $25 discrepancy would be refunded from deposit. It still hasn't been refunded but that is the least of my concerns. Site promises that driver will call at least 2 days in advance to schedule pickup time. Another promise not achieved. Driver called 1 hour before he was to arrive and I was not present for loading and left no paperwork with pre-inspection (another promise not achieved). When car arrived in GA there was severe damage to the exhaust system. Driver had unloaded vehicle at a neutral site and drove my vehicle to destination. I reported damage and requested a BOL from the driver and he walked off and did not acknowledge damaging vehicle. It just so happened I had my car serviced the day before being loaded and it checked out in perfect condition. Even with all of my documentation Liberty, Nation and ASAP (the 3rd party that Liberty hired to move the car) did almost nothing to resolve the problem. Liberty sent insurance information for the carrier but did nothing to follow through getting me the necessary paperwork. It was left in my lap, dealing with a 3rd party that Liberty hired, not me. Here we are 6 weeks later and 3rd party refuses to cooperate. Liberty claims that they have no further responsibility in the matter and is doing nothing to facilitate getting me the information I need to finalize the claim. Buyer beware. Liberty operates under an identical website http://nationatransport.com/, maybe others? Stick with a reputable company, pay a little more and avoid the games.
