Casey at Lightning Auto Carriers did an excellent job helping me get my truck shipped. He was honest about what it would cost to get the job done for me. He didn't give the cheapest quote but the cheapest quote will not get your vehicle moved!
Casey didn't ask for a deposit until my truck was loaded for shippment. If anyone ask for money in advance you may be risking your deposit. Also, please don't pay with a check-by-phone, because your money is immediately withdrawn from your account and if something goes wrong and you decide not to use the broker that has your money already it might be tough getting it back.
I was having trouble with the first broker after I gave him my deposit. I tried contacting him many times by phone and got no live person on the line ever and they never returned any of my calls, NICE HUH!!!
After the first try with broker #1 I was about ready to give up on the shipping deal totally. Casey called me and asked if I had the truck shipped yet. (THANK YOU LORD) After I told him how it was going he told me what was more than likely happening, a cheap qoute won my deposit and the job wasn't going to get done. I was nervous to try again but Casey was very good about answering my million questions and nice enough to take my 15 or so phone calls at all times of the day. Every call was answered, questions always answered no problem.
I told Casey I would let him try to ship the truck on Friday morning, a few hours later the SAME DAY he called me back and said the truck was going to be picked up that afternoon and would be at my house 1700 miles away on Sunday afternoon! (NO WAY) What a load off my mind, I was able to get some good sleep for the first time in days! Your vehicle may not get to you that fast I just got lucky with the help from Casey and a truck was only maybe 100 miles away or so and must of been heading my way anyhow.
