We picked the company because of their great rating - big mistake. We had 3 big issues: price increase, poor communication and delaying scheduled pick up to the point we didn't trust the company or pick up will actually happen. First we were given a price $750. So we asked the company to schedule a pick up asap. They said it will take 1-2 days ( we needed the car to be moved asap so we were looking for fast pick up). Then Casey from Magic Carpet called that he has a driver but he wants more money $950, we agreed on $900. THe driver was scheduled to pick up the car in 2 days. Never showed. We called and they said he had car problems and will come next the next day. Never showed again. On Monday he called he still has car problems and he'll be there in the afternoon - didn't show. By now we called another company and scheduled a pick up. Driver from Magic Carpet later called and wanted to pick up the car, we canceled the order. I would not recommend the company because it's not reliable. If I run into problems like that on the beginning how can I be sure the car will actually get to its destination on the other side of USA on time and not damaged? I understand you can have car trouble but it should be comunicated to customer asap with other options and not do us all the calling, asking and guessing. They should not promise every time - next day, next day until they actually know. We have a lot of experience running a distribution business ( 25+ years) and in our company customer comes first, we deliver, we switch carriers, we do anything to get the job done - That not the case of Magic Carpet.
