Selected Magic Carpet for their positive on-line reviews. Scheduled a month in advance at agreed price and date. Was called several days before pick-up and advised rate would go up an additional $300. As time was running out, I agreed to that increase and a specific date for pick-up was made. Nothing happened. Had to call driver directly to find out status and he advised that he needed even more money to make the pick-up and delivery. Called Magic Carpet and they didn't know anything about the driver's change. Cancelled Magic Carpet and went with another broker. The whole episode cost me frustration as well as additional fees for a rental car at the receiving end. It was a real nightmare. It's hard for me to believe all the positive reviews that formed my decision to use Magic Carpet considering the experience that I had. I noticed when completing this review that it asks whether Magic Carpet compensated me for this review. Kind of makes you wonder.
