I had never used a car transport service before. I was wary. But I had driven across the country 6 times and I was tired of it. So I called up one company that I won't name because I don't do that. They gave me a fantastic price of around $950. I put down my deposit. They said within 7 days they would have a truck for me, and that 90% of their orders get picked up within 4 days. I thought that was amazing. 21 long days later, no truck had picked up my car or even called or emailed me about it, and the transport company didn't return 3 calls or emails, and when I got a hold of the salesperson and made her promise to call me with a status update 24 hours later, she did not. So I was pretty frustrated about this.
After calling to cancel, I got a call from Michelle who I had talked to on the phone 3 weeks earlier but I had originally decided to go with the other company because of the lower price. Michelle followed up with me and I liked that service (1st star). I told her I needed a truck ASAP. And she was on it. I talked to her about 1:30pm or so and she had said she would get back to me by the next day, but by 3:45pm THE SAME DAY she had called me back and had a truck (next two stars). This was a Thursday, 8/23, and she said the truck could get my car by Saturday, 8/25. I thought that was great. Well, the next day, in the morning, she called me and said the truck could get there that afternoon, a whole day early. I was very happy about this (4th star).
The truck picked up my car on 8/24, like it was promised, and that was fantastic. The car was supposed to be delivered by 9/3, so 10 days later. Unfortunately, something happened to the truck that had my car originally, and so my car had to be transferred to another truck, and this set it back two days (not Michelle's fault obviously). The only thing that concerned me was that no one called me to let me know about this development. By 9/2, I had called Michelle and the truck driver, but the driver didn't pick up, and I didn't reach Michelle. By the next day, she called me, and told me the situation, and the truck driver called me and said it would be in on 9/5. On 9/5, I was wondering when it would be delivered, and the driver called me around noon that day and said it would be to my address by noon the next day. It got there on 9/6 at around 1:30pm. I didn't really care, but obviously my expectation was not entirely met. The reason I gave this review a 5-star was because when my car arrived, there wasn't any problems with it at all (no scratches or bumps), and the driver apologized, which is all I wanted to hear him say. (5th star). Michelle also conveyed her apology, and I appreciated her sincerity. All in all, I was satisfied with the service, and when I go back to California at the beginning of next summer, I will call Michelle first because she got the job done quickly and invested that extra time at the beginning when I told her I was in a pinch to move the car. I had already waited 21 days with the other company and got literally nowhere, and Michelle took care of me. I see many reasons to trust her again. Sorry for the long review, but I am detail-oriented, and I know if you are reading this, you care about your car as much as I care about mine, and you should know everything that happened.
