Magic Carpet: Not a Very Good Experience

The most important thing for you to know about my experience with Magic Carpet Auto Transport is that they offer their customers the chance to have their entire cost refunded to customer, in return for the customer giving Magic Carpet a 5-star review.

Once my car was delivered, Magic Carpet emailed me, offering to enter me into a lottery, of which the prize is having my entire transportation cost for my vehicle refunded to me. In return, they told me to write a 5-star review with them on transportreviews.com. I speculate that Magic Carpet has offered a similar deal to many of their customers, resulting in a very high rating for themselves on transportreviews.com.

My experience with Magic Carpet was a 2-star experience, for two reasons. 1. My car arrived very late. I was promised 2 days transportation time. My actual transportation time was 5 days. 2. During the delay, Magic Carpet was very uncommunicative, leaving me in the dark about the delays. I spent hours waiting at the appointed time and place for my car to be delivered, only to have the car not show up.

All I needed was a simple email, text, or 30 second phone call from Magic Carpet saying, "hey, your car is delayed. it won't be delivered at the time we promised." i am a flexible guy, and would have been OK with that. instead, Magic Carpet did not communicate with me in a timely fashion, and barely communicated with me at all.

My recommendation is that you NOT use Magic Carpet, as a company that bribes its customers for 5-star reviews does not appear to be a credible or trustworthy company.

I'm sorry you didn't feel you had a good experience with us. As I look through the order it shows we talked to you several times throughout the process. You placed your order with us on 4-19 we found a carrier for you on 4-22 at 7am to pick up the same day. We called the Carrier at 8:42am to see where he was for pick up he said he was about 2-3 hours out from pick up so a call was made to you at 3pm to check the status of pick up but there was no answer so we left you a voice mail, then again we called you at 5:17pm to also check pick up and that when you told us you were meeting the carrier. As for delivery we called you on the 24th at 7:50am to let you know we talked to the driver and they were expecting to deliver the next day and you said you were going to call the driver to let him know your availability cause you have tests going on. So now its the 25th the next day and I called you at 2:05pm to let you know the driver was running behind and will deliver the morning on the 26th, you said you have a test the 26th till noon so delivery anytime after 12:30 would work. I called the carrier at 1:20 to check on delivery he told me it was delivered, that's when i called you to talk about delivery and discuss the amount you gave the driver. You only paid him $400 instead of the $425 that was due to him cause we took a lower broker fee and gave the driver more money to pick up the car. When i talked to you at that time everything seemed fine and you didn't have any complaints like you are mentioning in this review.
