Stephanie was great, very helpful, but I would not use the service again. I did not realize magic carpet was just a broker, not the actual transport company. It was too difficult dealing with the broker and the shipping company. Additionally, the fee for the broker was $225 which seems high considering all they did was find a company. I was still on the phone through the whole process having to contact the driver directly.
The while pickup process was a fiasco: I was told it would be picked up Friday, which was the absolute latest as we were leaving Saturday morning. By 2pm I still had not heard anything so I called them to ask when they would be there. They told me they couldn't take delivery of their new carrier from the dealership until Saturday morning so they couldn't pick up the car until then. First, when exactly ere they planning on telling me this, since I'd already waited around half the day for them. Second, they were already told that it had to be Friday. Finally they offered to take the car if we drove it to them at the dealership. Desperate, I accepted and told them to call and let us know when it would be. By 6, still had not heard anything so called again, at which point they said to meet them at 7:45. We drove (2 cars, mind you, so we could get home after!!) 40 minutes to meet them and they took possession of the car. They did a good job inspecting the car and annotating every little scratch. They told me the car would be in TX on Monday. Since it was being received by a friend, I called Monday to ask for an estimated time so I could update my friend, at which point they said it wouldn't get there until Tuesday morning. It actually arrived Tues. My friend accepted the vehicle, and when I picked it up and washed it there was a 3" gash in the bottom of the rear quarter panel, presumably from a strap or something. I haven't reported it yet, as I have low expectations if any resolution at this point. Additionally the carrier would only accept the remainder of payment ($1050 -broker fee of $225=$825) in cash or money order. Why they couldn't use the same credit card I gave magic carpet is beyond mebut I had to spend another $85 to western union the money to my friend.
Overall, the process was expensive, and stressful, and worst of all, my car was damaged.

Jamie, I apologize you didn't feel the service was great. I do appreciate you saying i was great and helpful. However, our drivers run off estimates and have numerous customers they are trying to make satisfied with all the pick up dates and delivery date request. Sometimes they do get pushed behind schedule being they run into traffic delays, truck issues, customers not ready, etc. But i do want to apologize for their lack of communication letting you know they were running behind from the time they told you they were going to be arriving for pick up and delivery. Also, if you wanted to pay the full amount on a credit card we could have made those arrangements upon placing the order, however if the driver accepts the order after we placed the order for Payment on delivery he is expecting that type of payment. But being the fact that we needed the vehicle picked up no later than the 26th of July and we placed the order on the 23rd of july i think this went pretty good for the short notice normally with standard shipping it takes 1-7 business days to schedule a carrier, and the fact that we didn't charge you the expedited fee of $350 More than the Standard shipping rate being we needed to get it picked up two days after placing order. Once i got off the phone with you placing your order we got right on top of contacting our carriers and was able to get something set up for pick up within a couple days. Again, i apologize you didn't feel your service was great, i did try everything and thought i did pretty good with getting this arranged pretty fast and trying to keep your cost as low as possible.
