First of all, I am from Vancouver, Canada, so finding a reputation company who can assist me throughout the whole way is much harder. I was pretty much on my own when doing research, since my friends aren't too familiar with American companies to use.
After searching around for excellent carrier companies to transport my car, I have stumbled upon "Transport Review" link and I clicked upon "Ratings and Report" section that describes which companies are more reputable. Magic Carpet is one of many with most reviews (overall really positive after reading pages and pages of customer reviews).
About 2 weeks ago I was really worried because it's my 1st time transporting a car, yet some of my worries lessen after speaking with Glory Gulley. She is my personal assistant for this process, and so far she has done a fantastic job trying to inform me some of the unknown factors. She is sensitive to some of my specific request...such as finding a carrier company that will place my car on a safer location away from chances of rock chips flying in, and informing me that carrier company most probably will do their best to avoid disasterous areas (I am really worried about the aftermath weather condition from Hurricane Ike). In addition, she did not charge me additional cost even though the carrier company whom she communicated with wanted a slightly more amount for this trip, and she negotiated by taking less amount of her personal brokerage fee so my amount will still be the same. Lastly, she also mentioned to me a small credit card transaction fee that will be applied if I paid my deposit through credit card, which is nice to know.
My car is supposed to be picked up from North Carolina today (Sept 16), so I will be eager to hear from Glory (or any other representative if Glory is not working today) when it is safety transported to the carrier.
I will write another review as there's further progress about my car's status. What I can say so far is "SO FAR SO GOOD"! Please bring my car safety to Washington, WA!!! =)
