Great service, minor hiccup to help in the future

I received transport quotes from various transporters before settling on Magic Carpet after reading all of the positive reviews in comparison to others.

Kathy was my primary contact and couldn't have been more helpful. My first available pickup day was on May 26 with delivery set for May 28 and that's when arrangements were made. However, the dealership where the car was to be picked up sent contacted me at the end of their work day telling me the car had not been picked up. I figured I shouldn't worry but decided to be proactive and call anyhow…I'm glad I did. Apparently one of the companies (can't even remember their name now) had put my name on the national booking list and the driver that was supposed to pick up my car saw it was double-booked and canceled. I can't blame the driver or Magic Carpet for that. I was annoyed that the other company would have put me on a list when I did not even place an order with them. Second, I was a little annoyed I had to call to find this out that the driver canceled, but figure I would have found out sooner than later – just not sure how soon, but that’s a moot point. Lesson to be learned is don't be afraid to be proactive, even if you feel you’re being a pest. It's how you find things out quicker. Plus, the different representatives I talked to at Magic Carpet were always nice and willing to help.

After I called the other company and had them remove me from the booking list, a pickup and delivery time were set with Magic Carpet and delivered right on time. I was set back about 4 days (which didn’t really matter to me) because of the double-booking error, so be careful if you’re getting quotes from other companies.

The driver was really nice and we made arrangements for me to pick up the car close to my work. No problems, everything went really well. The 2010 Camaro was in tip top shape after making the journey from the middle of Illinois to the Jersey Shore. I would definitely use Magic Carpet in the future, no doubt. And I would recommend them to anyone and everyone I know looking for a transporter.
