I've shipped at least 5 cars now in last 5 years with varying degrees of satisfaction from just a few days late to weeks without communication and major damage to car, so was quite cautious going into this latest shipment of our Audi from CA to OH. I'm pretty familiar with the process and understand a lot of the timing and pickup/delivery times are not as easily controlled by the broker, with price and time of year playing a big factor.
Chose Magic Carpet and explained to Kathy our past issues and critical timing for delivery on the backend (with multiple thousands of dollars and inconvenience of flights, etc. if the delivery date was missed due to our move across country).
She and Nicole were very helpful throughout, had a few glitches or moments of anxiety due to backup of orders in CA as we got close to our "conservative" pickup date, but was solved quickly by upping our bid a bit -within minutes we had a transporter for the next day. Chris at Route66 Autoshippers was fantastic, took good care of the car and communicated throughout, with good advance notice on delivery (which was to a relative).
Kathy in particular was great, understanding of our stress level and concern, and worked us through the process. Delivery time was ahead of what we had expected and overall, had a very good experience, restoring our confidence in what can be a difficult industry/process to understand. Just set up another shipment of our other car with Magic Carpet.
