Pleased with Service

I used Magic Carpet to ship a European military surplus truck from Vallejo, CA to Denver, CO. The shipment was arranged by the importer I bought the truck from. The importer stated that he had used Magic Carpet before with excellent results.

The truck was offered for shipment on Monday and arrived in Denver the following Sunday. Due to a communication fault that was strictly my own (out of town for a week and allowed my voice mail to get completely full) I didn't know that the truck had shipped until the trucker's agent called to arrange a delivery time, so I can't say what day it was actually picked up from the importer. Again, that's my fault and no reflection on the service I received. I was out out town from the time the shipping order was placed until the evening before the truck arrived in Denver.

I received a call on Sunday morning, notifying me that the truck would arrive in Denver on Sunday afternoon. The trucker's agent was extremely courteous and professional and asked whether I would prefer delivery on Sunday or Monday. The agent stated that delivery would be at my residence. Since I live on a winding street in a residential neighborhood, I requested to move the delivery to a local truck stop instead. The agent contacted the truck driver with the delivery change request and got back to me within 15 minutes with a confirmation and estimated time of arrival. The agent called me again to advise when the truck was approximately 30 minutes out and yet again when it had arrived at the truck stop.

The truck arrived undamaged. The driver was also extremely courteous and professional. After unloading my truck from the transporter, he even offered to move it into a parking space.

I was throroughly impressed with the service I received and would readily use this company again.

The day after the truck was delivered, Magic Carpet called to make sure that the service their driver had provided was satisfactory. I informed them that I was extremely pleased with the service I'd received and they asked me if I would mind leaving a review at this website. And in case you're wondering, no, they didn't offer me any compensation for doing it.
