Magic Carpet Auto Transport was a great company to work with, however, they do not have much control over when your car gets picked up or delivered. Auto transporting is a weird business, so let me explain.

First, the company you deal with does not own the trucks that transport your car. Once you sign on with a company to move your car, your name and vehicle moving information are posted on a list and independent truckers select from the list which cars they want to move. Every auto transport company posts their clients names on the same list. The truckers make their selections from the list largely based on 3 criteria; how much you're willing to pay, where your car is located, and where you want to move your car. The amount you're willing to pay appears to be the most heavily weighted criteria, so if you sign on with a discount company, it may take a very long time for your car to get picked up and delivered.

If the company is being honest with you, they will let you know what you need to pay to get your car moved quickly. So really, you can forget the advertised prices unless you happen to be moving your vehicle during a slack moving time. I just moved my car from Florida to Oregon this spring when all of the snow birds were trying to move their cars out of Florida. I ended up paying over $300 more than the advertised price to get my car moved. I don't blame Magic Carpet, because they really don't have control over the prices. Plus I could have held out and paid the lower advertised price, but I'd probably still be waiting. Magic Carpet didn't string me along, told me what I needed to do to get my car moved quickly, and I once I understood the nature of the business, I was able to get my car delivered quickly.

I recommend Magic Carpet Auto Transport. Based on my experience they are one of the better companies' to work with.
