First off this is a Auto Transport Broker, In no way does Magic Carpet Auto Transport pick up your car. They receive your quote, and then they find the best possible deal they can with an actual transportation service. With the instance of my order, I originally received a quote for a deposit of $275 and a balance due on delivery for $825. So When I looked at my confirmation order, I expected to see the total for 1095. It disbelief the total had been changed to $1145. When I called up about this, and explained to myself to Michelle, I was told that it includes writing a review for my 50 dollar discount. In no way, did they even explain this while I was making the original Quote. So after they sorted out the price I expected to have my car picked up a week later. For the next week I was left in the dust, I called up numerous times to find out when a carrier would arrive, and it turned out the carrier was never even assigned by my scheduled date of pickup. On top of that, Magic Carpet Auto Transport told me it would be an additional $100 to have my car picked up the next day. Since my flight was the next day, I hesitantly agreed and a carrier picked up my vehicle. After my car was picked up by SPEED TRANSPORT, not Magic Carpet Auto Transport, I was told I would have to pay an additional $100 yet again on top of the final quote. In total I paid $1295 for my car being transported from CA to NY. I would by all means avoid this company, and if you do place an order don't expect to get updates from them on when your car will arrive. WONT HAPPEN. The only reason they are number one in reviews, is because they provide you with a discount if you leave a review. This practice should be made illegal.
