After reading some of the bad experiences some people have had in transporting their cars, it took me 1 month to find a company I felt I could trust with my vehicle. Though it was an older car I still did want it to arrive in TX safely and in a timely manner. After contacting and being contacting by many different companies- some of them very aggressively, I chose Magic Carpet, mainly because of the favorable reviews posted and the fact that they contacted me by e-mail, gave me the requested information and left it up to me to make a decision- no hard sell! The car was picked up 5-7 days after my commitment to Magic Carpet and delivered all the way to TX 5 short days later to my son . The driver even called on the 4th day and said he was in the state and pick-up would be early the following morning. It was a very positive experience from my first contact with Michelle to actually turning the car key over to Mo at American Eagle Transport. My account was not charged until after the car was picked up and the remainder is paid to the driver on delivery. The only suggestion I would make is that the client should have an address ready for the driver as to a pick-up location that he could GPS such as a Wal-Mart or Home Depot location. There is no way a pick-up can be door to door as the driver is behind the wheel of an 18 wheeler too much for most secondary roads. All in all, I had a great experience with Magic Carpet and will recommend them most enthusiastically for any type of auto transport.
