My wife and I had originally decided to drive from Boston to Seattle, but at the last minute decided to look into transporting our car and flying instead. Couldn't have been easier and was only slightly more expensive considering saved gas and hotel rooms. Called about a week before the move, and had no problem scheduling the pickup.
Boston is a horrible place for driving a truck; I didn't expect them to be able to get it even close to our neighborhood and they agreed. I drove about fifteen minutes to meet them, and one of the operators drove me to a subway stop. I probably could have asked him to drive me all the way to my apartment.
Magic Carpet had estimated that it would take them 10 days to get to Seattle. In fact, they got there even before we arrived from our flight, about four days later. They delivered the car to us right after we had signed the lease with our new apartment building, and managed to get the truck about a block from our urban apartment.
Almost too easy.
