Quote System for large vehicles should be reviewed

I shipped a Hummer H1 from CA to TX. Their Quote was a couple of hundred cheaper than all but one other I found. I was very clear that this vehicle was the largest production vehicle made to date and they said that, although slots on standard carriers were limited for vehicles of this size, it would be no problem and that it should normally be picked up in 5-7 days. I did receive updates every couple of days saying that no carriers had been found yet. 9 days later I was offered a carrier but the overall price would be $259 more. I did have a choice to take it or leave it and wait for another, but MCAT wasn't confident that anything else would come up soon. I decided to take the offer as I needed to get the vehicle out of the location it was and it was cheaper than the Guaranteed Pick-up price. All in all I'm not unhappy with what I paid to get the truck to TX, I'm just a little frustrated that their quote system or their expected pickup time isn't designed to reflect extra wide SUVs and they had to ask me for more money that I probably would have gladly paid upfront if it had been quoted that way. As a highly rated transport company, I expected MCAT to be more familiar with what it would take to get a vehicle of this size moving in my direction and to quote the job appropriately. I will say that other than that they have excellent customer service and were readily availialble anytime I called.

I'm sorry that you feel we did not provide you with a 5 star service. A hummer is verry large in both size and wieght. Finding a carrier with enough load space for this was very difficult. We did not intentially underquote you and i'm sorry that it took longer than the average time fram. So, Agian i'm sorry you feel that you did not recieve a 5 star service from us.
