Before I decide of which auto shipping company to use, I received several quotes from different companies. Their quotes were slightly higher and took little longer for my car to reach destination. But when I received the quote from Magic Carpet Auto Shipping, their quote was about $100 less than the others. So I contacted Magic Carpet regarding the shipping of my car from California to North Carolina - I was told that the quote was incorrect because it was computer generated. it should be $ xxx which was over $100 over some of other quotes I received. By that time I already checked with many auto shipping companies, and was kind of tired. So I went ahead with Magic Carpet.
Somehow I felt Magic Carpet was not very honest about the quotes they sent out to their customers. Magic Carpet was well awared of the initial quotes generated by the computer are incorrect and made no attempt to correct it. I just don't feel that was not a very nice way to get business.
Anyway, my car was delivered one day late (it was a Sunday). But the customer service and overall experience was a pretty nice one. The actual auto carrier, Expert Express in Monroe, NC, was doing a wonderful job. Thank you.
