The first thing that I want to say is that I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone using Mercury Transport. How it is that they received 5 out of 5 stars is beyond me because I wouldn't even give them one star. Actually, I might give them just one but that's not because of the company.... That's only based on the fact that I actually received my car.

So I thought I would be smart and contact Mercury about 1 1/2 months prior to the date of my car transfer. It was a easy situation, I had the addresses and dates set in stone.... All I needed was a carrier. I was assigned Corey Essman as a shipping agent and wish I never was. From the first day that I started the process it was always me contacting Corey, never the opposite, the way it should be. I went an entire month with hardly any correspondance or concern regarding my order. When it starting getting down the the wire (within 4-5 days of the ship) and they STILL hadn't secured a carrier, all I was told is that it's "protocol" because the drivers don't even know the routes. Like an idiot I just brushed it off and hoped that things would fall into place. When it came to THE DAY of the ship, I was FINALLY contacted by Corey, who had no good news other than to tell me that not only were they not going to be able to pick up my vehicle on time, but that they were raising the price from the original $450 up to $600+. At this point I was furious, not only because of the late timing but also the increase in price. As much as it bothered me, I was in such a bind that I agreed to pay the fee because it was so down to the wire. At that point I was sent an electronic copy of their customer agreement at which time I was thrown for yet ANOTHER curve ball. When I first contacted Corey I told him that I would be transporting household goods in my vehicle due to the move and I was never told that this would be a problem. Upon receiving the customer agreement, come to find out that you can't have more than 100-150 pounds of extra weight in the car? I HAD NO CLUE ABOUT ANY OF THIS....IT'S NOT LIKE I SHIP A CAR EVERYDAY. Well, Corey needless to say tried to cover up the cost and say it wouldn't be a problem and just to sign it. So I contacted the actual driver who told me it's a HUGE problem and said that he would not ship my car for anything less than $850!!!!!! So now my ORIGINAL MERCURY AUTO TRANSPORT quote from the original $450 is now almost a grand (including their broker fee). This is the point where I got absolutely furious, Corey told me he would call me back that day and get everything figured out. Well, to end off this fabulous experience Corey DID NOT call me like he said he would, in fact I called him probably at least 20 times with no answer. So the next day a manager from Mercury contacted me and said that Corey was a great agent and that this was just some mixup...blah blah blah. When I asked the manager what to do his only response was either pay the $850 or take EVERYTHING out of my car and have it shipped separately. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THIS WHEN I'M NOT EVEN IN THE SAME STATE AS MY CAR ANYMORE!?!?! Had they actually picked up the car on time, as much as an inconvenience as that would have been I probably would have done it. Well, my car ended up being picked up 4 days late and actually got dropped off on time.... which I can say kudos to the truck driver. That is the only part of this whole experience that actually happened like it was supposed to.

I'm sure some representative from Mercury will get on here and defend their company but at the end of the day..... what you need to know is that this company in my opinion is nothing but deceitful and scammers. I would HIGHLY encourage anyone to search elsewhere when shipping their car. (Unless you want to pay over double what you're originally quoted and have the same experience I did)

Thank you Mercury Auto Transport for costing me more money and giving me the worst shipping experience of my life!!!!!!

Hello Ryan, I am so sorry you are displeased with the transport of your vehicle. We were the broker who facilitated your transport . We charged you a 100.00 dollar broker fee. The rest of the funds went directly to the carrier you approved. It is ok to ship some hosehold goods but not the whole house. When we spoke you said it wouldnt be over window level , and wouldnt be over done. Typically 50-100 lbs is perfectly fine. Anything after that is at the drivers discrection. When the driver arrived he could barely get into the car and called us immediately and was very upset that the car was not what we told him. Most drivers would just decline the load rather than accept the liability, that was not the case the carrier offered you a rate and you and him made the agreement for the transport. The carrier as you stated picked up late, and delivered on time. If you shipped the items in your vehicle totaling well over the 450lbs mark, Ups or fedex it would have been very expensive. Check it out for yourself. there is never any obligation for you to accept any offers we bring to you. You make the final decision. We cant force you or a driver to do anything you dont feel is fair . We only charge a small fee for our services. As for carriers.. no carrier will schedule months in advance . On all our orders we explain drivers usually schedule in a window of 7-10 days before your pick-up date due to the constant fluctuation in fuel prices , and that drivers dont want to promise dates they cant keep. Again we are all sorry you were displeased with our work . unfortunately you cant always please everyone, but we sure do try. I think the expectations may been a little to high from this customer. Sincerely , Management
