The representative, Jim, was very informative about how the process works and made sure I understood that MAT was a broker. Many companies who contacted me to bid the trip were not up front. I chose MAT because I felt safe that Jim was experienced and committed to customer satisfaction. Our first haul from East to West Coast was uneventful, in a good way. Car was picked up and delivered fine. The haul back from the West Coast was fine from MAT's standpoint. Unfortunately, the trucking company did not manage their pick-ups well, did not respond to phone calls and were generally unavailable to us as the car delivery became delayed. Here, Jim, our MAT rep, stepped in to assist and negotiate a delivery safely.
We would use MAT again, but not the car carrier company that actually did the hauling.
