Prestige Carrier - PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE GUYS

I used Eric Rezner of Mercury Auto Transport to ship my 2010 Corolla on July 22. The dispatch's name is Alla and the driver is Tolly. The driver arrived a little later than expected but still arrived the day the car was due to be picked up. In their contract, Prestige Carrier wrote the following:

· Make sure to have the vehicle ready as early as possible –

· Generally, we recommend that you do not ship any personal belongings inside your vehicle. However, a few small items packed in the trunk are acceptable. Less than 50 lbs of soft, non-hazardous items in the truck of your vehicle-nothing in the interior. No liquid, no electronic equipment, valuables, plants, live pets, alcohol, drugs or firearms, may be left in the vehicle.

Reading this, we put items in our trunk, including clothing, some small dry foods like rice, and luggage but it did not exceed 50 lbs as we weighed it. When Tolly arrived, he told us to remove everything from the trunk as it is not permitted, per the cops. However, he did whisper to us that he would allow us to put stuff in the trunk if we paid him $50 under the table. The guy was shady from the start.
The car arrived on July 26 in Sugarland, Texas. It was dirty as expected. When he removed the car off the truck, the bumper was badly damaged including the muffler. Now the car is extremely loud inside when drivign due to this damage. THe unfortunate thing is that my wife went on ahead a month in advance and did not tell me about this damage. When it comes to cars, she is clueless. I arrived into Houston last night and noticed the damage. She did not notice the damage due to the dirt until she washed it. It is too late for me to file a claim now. If the driver was honest, he would have pointed out the damage to her beforehand but he took off. I am writing to message to hopefully prevent other people from using this dishonest, cheating car transport company, Prestige Carrier for any of their future needs.

Hi Vivek, Thank-you for your review. The carrier picked up and delivered on time . While we are happy your car arrived we are sorry we did not meet or beat your expectations. DOT strictly prohibits the moving of house hold goods on auto transporters. Luggage, and canned goods are not permitted. Sincerely, Management
