When I got ready to ship my 86 Mustang to my son in New York from Texas I went on line and asked for quotes. I got over 40 responses. What a nightmare. Although the quote from Mercury was not the cheapest, they included an excellent explanation of how the transport business works, what to expect, what to do and what not to do, etc. I was impressed. I had shipped a couple of cars before so I knew about what it should cost. Mercury's quote was where it should be. So, I contacted them. Charlie Steeves was great to work with. I didn't have any pick up and delivery restrictions but, since it was winter, I had weather concerns on both ends and I insisted that the car be with one carrier from door to door. Charlie came through with an excellent transporter who worked with me and my son to pick up the car and, even though he was chasing a blizzard on the east coast, deliver it with no problems. If anybody asks me who I would recommend as an auto transport broker I will surely recommend Mercury and Charlie Steeves.
