Delivery was coordinated well in Utah, a little mixup since there were identical addresses in neighboring towns. My son-in-law had an uncomfortable few moments when the driver (actually a different guy than picked it up) asked for "$1100 cash" even though we'd paid the agreed upon $450 up front. He quickly checked his records and it got straightened out. All in all very smooth. If I did this again, I would've sent a photo of the receipt to the receiving end.
At Jim Gozdes end (Mercury Auto Transport), I would give 5 star. His sending me a long informative email on how the business works (and an A- rating at BBB) is what sold me on using Mercury. It went quickly, he explained well what was happening and had the car shipped the day after I first spoke to him. The driver (Mikhail) didn't offer a receipt of the cash, but wrote one up at my request. He was polite, good people skills, I just think doing receipts is not part of his routine. (It should be). I realize even though transport brokers vet their drivers, it can still be a roll of the dice what service the customer gets from the drivers. I'd use Mercury again if I ship another car.
