I never review companies, but felt compelled to do so because this process was so time consuming and riddled with concerns. We were moving our daughters car from Scottsdale, AZ to Pullman WA. Searching for a car transport company was daunting. I have been inundated with texts, emails and phone calls from tons of companies. Spent hours reading reviews only to find so many complaints that I considered just driving the car there my self. All these agents are at the mercy of truck drivers, who pick and choose which cars they want to move and when. So no matter how good the agent is, there can still be problems. Any company that tried to contact me more than twice, I deleted from consideration. I would make my decision when I was ready. Mercury responded to my move query and sent one follow-up e-mail. They sent a list of do's and don'ts, and a thorough explanation of how the car transport company works. Since they were not pressuring me, and I needed to make a decision soon, I took a chance with them. Eric La Gra was my contact and was very helpful. Told me immediately of potential additional costs due to the season and location where the car was moving to and timing was not ideal. His quote was initially $755, among quotes from $695 to $1500. It was about noon, when I signed up with him, and an hour after that, he had a trucker ready to pick up the car that evening. The whole process was initiated and done in about 8 hours. Car arrived at the destination 6 days later. This is surely not the norm, but proof that a good agent can make things happen. Total cost ended up at $950, of which $800 was to the trucker. I felt very good about the whole experience.
