I was referred to Eric LaGra from friends of my wife. They knew him as a neighbor and friend from Venice, CA. They recommended him for shipping my daughters car from the Hamptons out to Colorado College. I spoke with Eric and he gave me a ton of good information including waiting to get a quote till 10-12 days before my actual ship date- not so far in advance. And explained how the National trucking board worked and the routes, the drivers and all the scam Artist brokers littering this field. He explained he gets a flat fee and basically stewards the process and that getting your car “actually” picked up is like buying an airplane seat. The more you pay the more likely to execute. Anyways, I did some additional research and got a Ton of lowball quotes but when I spoke to Eric a 2nd time he said yeah they’ll take the deposit broker fee but no truck is coming to actually pick up. We picked a date and Eric was great quarterbacking the driver, pickup, drop off, payment etc. including clarifying a question I had on an early Sunday morning with a prompt callback to my voicemail. I thought Eric was really great, very professional very experienced and overall just very easy to work with.
