Good experience from Montway, but not the sub-contracted transport carrier

Montway was easy to work with and answered my questions quickly. I had a few questions leading up to when my car was picked up, and they were very reachable via phone and e-mail. I had less than one month to plan a move from the east coast to the west coast, and their cost was very affordable compared to other companies I looked into.

However, there are some cons that I feel need to be brought up:
- They contracted out the actual pickup/delivery service to another company. So the actual transport of the vehicle is not really under their control. Unfortunately, the transport company that moved my car was subpar (Auto Star Transport, Inc.), with bad communication and failure to meet estimated pickup & delivery dates. While I know this was not Montway's fault, maybe this is an indication that they need to contract out to better, more reputable companies.
- It might be important to note that Auto Star Transport has an F for their BBB score.

- As mentioned above, there was a bit of a lack of communication between Montway and Auto Star Transport. I updated my delivery address through Montway, but the pickup company was either not aware or did not relay that information to their driver. Furthermore, the contact information that Montway gave me for the dispatcher and driver were entirely incorrect. This frustrated me so much that I ended up just calling Montway and making them reach out to the right individuals since I was not able to contact them directly. At least Montway was very responsive about this, but it would have been nice to have the right information initially.

I think those are the main cons I would consider when choosing Montway over anybody else... there were a few other things that made the experience slightly painful, but those will be left on my review of Auto Star Transport. Montway's customer service and affordability would be the main reasons that I would choose to use them again if needed, but I'd definitely review the sub-contracted company on my own before agreeing to the pickup/delivery.
