Not an honest company!!!

I was scammed by Montway!! I was new to the shipping industry so I didn't understand how everything works but they quoted me the lowest estimate, so I went with them. No mention of any possibility of a change in price or timeframe. On the last day of the pickup window in the late afternoon, they called me saying it would cost $150 more but I had to decide quickly or the driver would leave. IT WAS THE CLASSIC "BAIT-AND-SWITCH" SCAM. They quoted too low of an estimate and no truckers would ship my car for the low amount. They "stood by their estimate" and said they would diligently keep trying to fulfill my order, it could happen at any moment. ...or it could take weeks or months!!! I was left not knowing if they could EVER ship my car. They told me that switching to another company will just make me seem desperate so the truckers will demand more for the shipment. I cancelled my shipment with them anyway and used Ship-A-Car-Direct, which was awesome to work with and very honest. Even after I cancelled my shipment with Montway, they kept my order in the database which made it difficult to get my car shipped! They purposely fulfilled their prophesy of problems with my shipment - a completely underhanded move. I will NEVER talk to this company again. The only thing good I have to say about their company is that it didn't take long to have a representative answer the phone, but that is the ONLY redeeming quality.

We understand that auto transporting is not a common experience for most which is why we go above and beyond to educate our customers on the industry, what to expect, the process, as well as terms and conditions. We are 100% transparent will all such information- online on our website, fully public, explained in the booking process, detailed in writing throughout written communication. Rates may fluctuate with specific trucker and route demands and is only ever presented as an option, never a requirement. 100% transparency is not bait and switch, it equals 100% honesty.
