When I placed the order, I communicated a date that I HAD to have the car delivered and that they could pick up ANY time. 2 days after the scheduled pick up I was called and offered the option to pay an additional $100 for a pick up that day, otherwise they would keep looking. when asked why the increase I was told because the driver didn't go to WI very often.. Guess they didn't think I would talk to the driver, who's truck was filled with cars for Wisconsin and actually lived just across the border in IL so drove to Wisconsin all the time. Feels like a bait and switch to me. No more business for Montway…

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Please note Montway offers a 1 to 5 business day pickup window from the first available date (04/12/2017). We understand that you booked your order in advance but carriers do not schedule vehicles that far ahead as they cannot predict what will happen along the way per the many factors causing delays listed below. This information is provided at the time of booking, listed on our website and all email communications. We ask that every customer and/or potential customer please take the time and review all information on our website to ensure they completely understand our terms prior to booking. Placing an order ahead of time may seem helpful, however in the auto transport industry, schedules are not pre-made that far in advance, their availability fluctuates daily, therefore so does their pricing. Records show your vehicle was picked up within the 5 business day pickup window (04/14/2017). Your 2015 Honda Odyssey was transported over 1,300 miles and required 4-6 transit days. We understand that most of our customers have time restraints and although we do our very best to make accommodations we cannot guarantee dates. Please note that all service dates in the auto transport industry are only estimated, and the auto transport industry is much different than the package delivery industry due to different factors: traffic -delays, detours, speed limits. Also weather delays, mandatory rest stops, pickup and delivery availability delays, weight station checks, police inspections, truck breakdowns, etc. Thus the provided estimated dates could vary by several days. We understand that this caused inconveniences for you and we sincerely apologize, as we try to make sure the transit goes as smooth as possible. With that in mind, I also wanted to take the opportunity to explain that Montway did not raise the price for you. However, the carrier dispatched, requested the additional fees as they had priced the available spot on their trailer higher than expected. That being said, it is only an offer. The decision to either accept or reject the proposed offer is made by the customer alone. If the offer in question is rejected by the customer, we will continue to work to assign a carrier for the amount that was agreed upon while the order was being booked, but there is no way of telling when another carrier would have an available on that particular route, as driver availability fluctuates not only day-to-day but hour-to-hour as well. Rates are dynamic and fluctuate on a regular basis. We hope this explanation makes it easier to understand how the auto transport industry works and to give you an example that as a broker we are fully dedicated to our customer and ensuring the customer gets the best service possible. Regardless, we did offer the customer compensation for his inconveniences in which he has not yet replied. Please have him reach out to us if he wishes to proceed with resolution as we are here to help.
