I would suggest you avoid this company, if any other avenue of transport is available to you. When I began searching for shipping companies, I was told to go thru Uship. Therefore, Montway ended up winning the bid to ship my Ford Shelby GT500 from Illinois to a heated winter storage in Wisconsin only 298 miles away. They told me it would get completed asap usually within the week. Well 11 days later they still had not pickup up the vehicle and could only provide excuses on why the car could not be shipped. So, I changed plans and had them deliver the car from Illinois to my home in NW Wyoming. Again, Montway said it would be done asap, usually in 3 - 5 days. I again completed payment with my credit card to them and would pay the rest when my car arrived (to the carrier). Ten more days go by, and now I am over a barrel trying more options to get the car picked up and delivered. So out of desperation, I have the car transport option changed from enclosed carrier to open carrier, also. I complete another agreement and get locked in with my price. Well now Montway has me over a barrel and calls wanting $220 more dollars to complete the transport of my vehicle (I had read where they had done this before in some of their Feedback). Since I was desperate to get my $40,000 car here- I agreed. Now Montway, farmed my vehicle transport out to Coast to Coast auto carriers. They called me and made arrangements to pick up the vehicle two days later. It was not picked up, despite a person waiting on them all day. I was guaranteed my car would be picked up the new morning. We wated and no calls, nor did anyone show up. So I called Montway, and they said it would be picked up in the afternoon. Again, no calls and no one showed up to pick up the car, though someone was there all Thanksgiving Day! That night, I talked again with Montway, and they told me they had spoken with Coast to Coasts Dispatch person (Monica), and the car would be picked up first thing the next morning. Monica would call me and confirm the AM pickup time, etc. Next morning came and went. Montway, said they tried to contact Coast to Coast shippers approximately 15 times. Neither Monica (their Dispatch person) nor their driver (I had his phone number also), would answer a call. I then pulled the plug with Montway. It was now over 21 days since they had the commitment and lead regarding shipment of my car and could not even get the car picked up. So much for their 5 Star Rated Carriers and their Service. They are not the professionals they claim to be. I ended up having to purchase a one-way airline ticket to Springfield, IL and driving the Shelby back myself. That was the one option that I did not want to do, but resorted to as I did not want my showcar to be handled by those which are unprofessional and could not even get the car picked up much less delivered. Also, I cannot tell you how many times a Montway representative failed to call me back regarding the status of my shipment. Or, how many times that I was disconnected while waiting on Montways customer phone lines. Future customers, I do not believe Montways feedback reviews, as I think they are fake. I called Montway after I terminated the delivery (please remember the Shelby was never picked up nor delivered in 21 days) and they informed me that they were keeping $229.00 of my money, BECAUSE they had done their JOB.!! I was also informed the carrier (Coast to Coast) would be recieving more of my money, because they had been Dispatched to pick up my vehicle (though they missed their self imposed pickup schedules FOUR times.I have not seen my credit card charges to date, so I do not know how this will end.I do suggest that you RUN from Montway and don't Walk....
