TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I shipped a car from the Washington, DC area to Loveland, CO using Montway. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE experience! The carrier Montway engaged was unethical (BMA Logistics Corp.) -- picked up the car, did not give a bill of lading, then let my car sit in Baltimore for a week with NO communication to me. There was no follow up from Montway until I engaged a supervisor -- Ashton. He is the only reason I gave Montway 1 star. When I heard nothing on my car for 3 days, I tried to call Montway, but it was Sunday and no one answered. So I used the Montway chat. The customer service rep literally lied to me. First, he told me they had no record of my car being picked up (the carrier hadn't notified them). I was shocked. I asked what happened to my car; and if it could have been stolen. He literally used a laughing emoji in his response, then said that my car was safely on its way to me and would be on time. I asked how he knew that if they hadn't been informed that the car was picked up. He said carriers often forget to notify them, but everything is OK. Well, this time, it was not. Once I got through to a supervisor who actually contacted the carrier, I found out my car was still in the DC area. Truck had broken down, or so the carrier claimed (my sister in law who had helped me with the pick up of my car got multiple explanations from the carrier and Montway...) The supervisor -- Ashton -- called the carrier every day and kept getting different answers. Finally, I received my car after Ashton stayed on top of the carrier, but I received it a full week after the estimated date. Ashton said he would try to get me a discount because of the stress and lack of communication. Of course, I received ABSOLUTELY NO consideration for the delays, lies and enormous stress. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MONTWAY. And I absolutely DO NOT recommend BMA Logistics. I plan to file a complaint with the Department of Transportation.
