Dishonest!

They bought my confidence with a quote of $979.00 to ship a car from Florida to Illinois. Once I responded, the calls, emails, and texts started flooding in. In total, I counted ELEVEN different people that I had contact with from Montway. After discussing a few details over the phone, they emailed me the next day telling me the order was "on hold" and to contact them immediately. They tried to raise the price to $1249.00 because I gave them a two-day pickup window instead of a five day. Once that was resolved, they would only guarantee a THREE DAY window. The car they were picking up was from an auction and the pickup rules were strict. They had ALL of this information when they originally quoted me $979.00. Then, after what I thought was the final price, they hit me with an additional charge if they had to jump-start the vehicle. All the details were spelled out when I listed it on uShip, They obviously did not read any of it before firing off a lowball quote to reel me in. Shame on me as a consumer for buying into something that was too good to be true. To make matters worse they refused to removed from a central dispatch board, which caused me trouble when I tried to contact other carriers. They informed me that Montway had it listed on their transport board and other carriers could not take my business unless it was removed. I made several attempts requesting removal, to include a phone call, texts, and emails, but it was still not removed many hours later. Funny how slow they are to respond when you don't want to do business with them. Thankfully I saved all the online conversations, texts, and emails if they try something else shady. I've also requested an investigation with the Department of Transportation, Secretary of State, and the Department of Commerce. Companies like this try to monopolize the transport business, and should be held accountable for their dishonest practices. Montway, I am giving you notice - you have made it my mission to make sure no one else has to endure my experience.
