I recently used Montway to transfer a car from east coast to west coast due to a change of duty station (I'm in the military). From the start, I had issues. The 1st being my online quote was a couple hundred dollars different than the one I got when speaking to a representative from the company. At the time of payment for pick up, the price changed again. So now 3 different prices. There is also no bill with a detailed summary of charges and credits/discounts. Just an invoice with the total due and total paid. Who even knows if they gave me my military discount?? Should've just stopped there. Communication is terrible. After booking I heard nothing. About 2 days prior to my 1st available pick up, I phoned them to make sure I was still on the list for pick up. I was told yes, and I would get an email and/or call when they assigned a driver. I got a call the day of my 1st available pick up and was told they had a driver who could pick up the following day between 8am-10am. The next day, pick-up day, driver was late and didn't get a call until after he arrived to say he'd be there in 5-10 minutes. Pictures were taken and I assisted driver in loading car. No major issues. I then received an email of expected drop off. No communication between. On day of expected drop, got a call that there was an issue with the truck and now drop off would be delayed up to 3 days. After voicing my displeasure at this, the representative said she would talk to someone about a discount. Again nothing. The next day I get a call saying the driver would be able to deliver on time between 7 & 8pm that night. Ok, good, it'll be dark but at least I get my car. Just prior to 8pm, I get a call that the driver is behind and will be there in 45 minutes. finally, around 9pm I get my car. All appears fine as far as damage goes but it is dark so very hard to tell. It was noted that both the driver and passenger windows were down (it was an enclosed trailer) and the car was not in the original spot at loading time. Since there was no visible damage, I took possession of the car. There was no communication with the company after I received the car. My opinion is not favorable of this company, and I will not use or recommend to others.
