UNBELIVEABLE SUPERB TRANSPORT!

UNPRESSIDENTED MAJOR SNOW STORMS, ICE, MAJOR ROAD CLOSURES!! These were the issues the transporter faced! This was a real challenge facing Mary Winfield, Account Executive, at Motor Movers Auto Transporters. These "snares" were causing a significant shortage of available "rigs" - -some of whom were literally "stuck". We had a customized GMC Yukon XL in concours condition to move. We felt that under usual conditions for the relatively short (700 miles) transport, it could be done on an open rig, - -if done right. Mary engaged Euro Star Transport out of Fort Myers, FL for the job. My connection on the other end sent me pictures of the loading and remarked what care and a good job they did and it was the "last on" vehicle slightly overhanging the carrier, but "OK". I hold a FL Class "A" CDL and have a lot of experience with "combination rigs" or "semis" for over 50 years. I had passed on a bunch of information to Mary to pass on to the driver(s) to assist them in a fast and least effort delivery. Then the storms escalated and conditions worsened, but the Knoxville pick-up was "on time". When the semi was a good chunk North of Tampa, Driver Adrian Matescu, called me about the delivery. It would be the next day (which was OK), but if I could meet him over by I-75 S we could do it today. My wife and I drove over the Sunshine Skyway, (in the fog) and Adrian and Paul met us at a Pilot Truck Center in Ellenton, FL. (Glad my wife didn't want to go to the nearby Prime Outlet Mall this time!) Anyway, we off-loaded the Yukon XL which was pristine except for the thin road salt cover on the rear. It could not have been more carefully off-loaded or handled or placed on the brand new carrier (paper tags!) and pulled by a sweet YELLOW "Kenny" (Kenworth) tractor! EXTREMELY PLEASED AND RECOMMEND THESE GUYS FOR CARE AND SKILL! Adrian had a second driver, Paul, so they could "tag-team" and comply with the Federal DOT "working/driving hours" rules.
