I had never shipped a car before and got into surfing the web to educate myself quickly on this as we just bought a car off of eBay from another state that I didn't have time to quickly travel to. There are many companies out there to choose from. Many good and BAD reviewed companies out there. Out of the hours spent doing my research and reading reviews on situations that happened to other people, I have to say I was very impressed by the website layout for motor movers. It was a beginner-friendly, easy to understand, plenty of information- website for auto shipping. I called Ric, who answered the phone immediately, there were no operators to have to talk to first. I told Ric upfront about the research I did and had noticed a few bad ratings(not as many as others) about his company. He took the time to explain his side of the stories of the situations. Some were his fault as things can happen, others seemed that the customers were just not that educated in the process. Ric seemed very sincere in his answers and offered to spend time getting me the right price for our car to be transported. I knew how much it was going to cost for me to fly there and cost of driving the car home including gas and tolls. Ric's price that he got seemed to be perfect for my budget, after spending 4 hours getting prices from all over. The actual company that came to pick the car up was very courteous and on time. They called prior to pick up and called prior to delivery. Keeping me informed every step of the way. The driver was even a day earlier with the delivery! Very happy about that!! Ric even did a follow up call a couple of hours after delivery to make sure everything went well. The biggest complaint on companies reviews were about the communication between the customer and the company. Every time I called or had a question, Ric always answered or he got right back to me within minutes. Same thing for the driver, Mark. I guess I just got lucky but I also educated myself and knew what questions to ask upfront. I'm sure Ric has lots of customers calling for quotes or the driver is busy driving and I understand that. Some people expect immediate attention when they call, when all they have to do is learn patience. I would highly recommend motor-movers and would definitely use them again! It's a big trust issue when shipping something so precious and worth a lot. I'm glad I educated myself first and found a great company to work with.
