Subject: Re: Job #476926 Transport Assigned
The Jeep was delivered on Sunday February 12 in the afternoon. Thanks for
the good service. The driver was very pleasant to deal with. If I need to
transport another vehicle, I will probably use your company again. Thanks
Serveral days later you called me about damage and this is how I responded:
I spoke with the carrier and I was advised as follows:
1. You and he spoke with the seller at the time of the delivery.
2. The seller admitted to driving the vehicle for 2 weeks before pick-up.
3. The scratches were covered with mud and definitely had been on the vehicle for some time.
4. An inspection report was completed at the pick-up point.
I am positive that if you speak with the person that inspected the scratches they will advise you that they are indeed not new to the vehicle.
In that you signed a completed bill of landing and you confirmed satisfaction of delivery be e-mail on 02/14/06, there is nothing available to satisfy your new complaint.
If the person who inspected the vehicle can verify that the scratches are in fact new and can provide me with a signed report as such, I will forward the document to the carrier for resolution.
The Jeep is 2 years old and it is very difficult to accept a claim for scratches. However, if you can provide the documentation requested every effort will be made to bring a satisfactory resolution to the complaint.
It is impossible to process claims after you sign a clean delivery report and after you communicate with the driver and seller on the same day of delivery.
