Stateway was the broker for this trip. They dispatched the car to Nps Auto Transport. The driver arrived in town early and I was out of town so the NPS dispatcher was annoyed with me that I was not reachable (I was camping with no phone service). Also the fact that service is advertisted door to door is an impossibility when you are dealing with those huge auto transport trucks. I should have known better. I had to drive the car to the Walmart parking lot to get it loaded on the truck and had to pay for a taxi back home. Same at the other end. The truck could not negotiate the under bridges or residential streets for delivery. That would be common sense and not the driver's fault. Just I wish I had known and could have planned ahead. The driver arrived a day earlier than predicted at the other end also. Typically being early is a good thing. I have nothing to complain about. The car arrived safe and sound and the driver was very nice, cooperative, and I had no qualms watching him load the car on the truck and safely bracing everything. I would definitely use the company again. However, I'm not sure if I called the same broker (Stateway) if I would get the same trucking company for transport. Not sure how that works.

Dee, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We do not guarantee door to door but we do our best to deliver vehicles we transport as close as possible within the law. I know you have not blamed us for that part of the guarantee but still extend our apology. Please be aware that there are limitations set by local laws that do not allow these heavy trucks to drive on particular streets or bridges. Also, to protect our clients vehicles,we do our best not to travel through very narrow streets or ones with lots of overgrown trees to prevent damages or scratches to vehicles.
