I chose National Transport LLC, in part, because of their web page claiming a 1-4 day pick up and a speedy delivery time. Also, their price of $995 was reasonable.
The vehicle was ready for pick up on the 8th of June. I waited until the 14th, after no contact from them, and chatted with Jennifer. I asked if there would be a discount in my price, due to the fact that I chose a 1-4 day pick up time, and was told that, "The 1-4 business days for pickup is not a guaranteed timeframe." even though they advertise that the vehicle will be picked up in that timeframe. I contacted them on the 15th, and was told that they found a driver and the vehicle would be picked up on the 15th and will be delivered on the 19th. Was also told that the carrier would contact me before picking up the vehicle. The vehicle was picked up on the 16th at 1130PM. I was never contacted.
I contacted National on the 18th and chatted with Erin. I asked that since the pickup was a day late would the delivery be a day late, also. Was told yes and that "delivery is expected for Wednesday (20th) morning." I contacted the carrier, Champion Car Carriers, INC, on the 19th to get a closer ETA from them. Left two messages with Brenda. Was finally contacted by them, by text, at about Midnight, and was told that the driver had truck problems and delivery time was pushed out to between 6 and 8PM on the 20th. I contacted Brenda on the 20th to confirm the delivery time and was told that time of 6-8PM was still good.
At 9PM on the 20th the driver contacted me and asked if I would be able to take delivery of the vehicle in about 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Although not happy, I said yes. I contacted the driver at 8AM on the 21st, and was told that he stopped to take a 15-minute nap and fell asleep for 5 hours. I don't begrudge him the rest, but he could have contacted me. He said that the delivery would be in about 30 minutes. After another hour, the vehicle was finally delivered.
There was no damage on the vehicle caused by the carrier. The vehicle was filthy, but it is an open-air car transport truck.
The customer service of National Transport LLC was very good. I try to deal through chat or email (in case I need a copy), and Erin and Jennifer were well informed and able to answer all of my questions, even if they weren't the answers that I wanted to hear. That is the only thing about National Transport LLC that received the 4-star rating. I will never use National Transport LLC or Champion Car Carriers, INC, again, if I need to have a car delivered. It would have been more cost effective and less stress, if I would have flown down to Florida and driven the car back myself.
