I had been looking for a Mercedes 300 TD diesel for several months and found one in Michigan that looked good. After a series of emails and pictures I decided to purchase the car.
Originally I had intended to fly out to inspect the car and if I liked it drive it back. I have never bought a car without seeing it and test driving but after checking flights and costs, I decided to check into having the vehicle shipped.. I have never used a transport company before and so picked one at random from Google site based upon the fact that they gave an instant quote. When I found out the price and compared it to flight and the cost and time of driving the car , I decide to call the company. They were cordial and actually gave me a better price on the phone. Although you can't really tell about anyone over the phone I got a good feeling from the phone conversation and the professional attitude they exhibited...I decided to go ahead with the transport.. There was a day that the seller was available and I asked if the car could be picked up that day..The company said maybe or within a day or two but called myself and the seller the day before I had asked for the pickup and said they would be there the next day .The car was picked up on time and delivered promptly. As I live on an Island, I had to coordinate with the transport person to meet the ferry on the mainland where I would then take the car back on the boat .. The transporter was very nice and professional and was in contact with me on the journey and was waiting for me with the car when I got off the boat. I got the car I wanted on time and at a reasonable price..I had a good experience.. I would do it again and use the same company....National Transport..
