CHEATER, liar and fraud

I used nationwide auto transport for movind my honda civic from NC to WA in December 2007. The service they provided was OK, but they overcharged my credit card.

At the time of booking they told me a price of $1050 for the move, out of which I needed to pay them $250 by credit card on phone, and remaining $800 to driver at the time of delievery.

But these people charged my credit card a sum of $360. When I reported this to them, they told me that its a mistake and they refund my $110 to me. Then I waited, and got my car delievered to me.
Then I reminded them again to refund my $110 and they told me that they will refund the money in next 2 days, but that never happened. I kept calling them only to be told that I will get the refund soon. But every time they kept coming up with new excuses. Sometimes they will just hang up. Sometimes put me on hold. Sometimes the person whom I should talk is on lunch. Sometimes gone home early. Overall, it has been good 6 months, and I have not got my $110 back and there is no hope. I think I must have called them 100 times, but no result.

Nowadays, they have started saying " It is a 6 month old order so we have to find the file, so give us 10-15 minutes and we will call you after reviewing your file". But they never ever called back. Even this has happened at least 10 times.

Ultimately, I am extremely frustrated with this cheating and fraud, and I do not know whom to contact about this. I would never advise anyone to have any dealings with Nationwide Auto Transport. They have cheated me. frauded and lied all throughout the dealing.

And what is worse... my credit card company refuses to help as they say that in case of a telephonic transaction my providing them credit card no. is authorizing them for charging whatever they want.

I hope this serves as a good warning and advice for people who might be in position of getting entrapped by Nationwide Auto Transport.
