Lack of Transparency and Customer Service

I got a quote and confirmed it 1 month in advance of the desired transport date. 48 hours prior to the target ship date, NAT contacted me. The representative said that a carrier was available for additional cost. I did not accept the added cost and asked about my 'reserved' spot on the carrier and my quoted price. I was told NAT would contact me with information on my quote and carrier. After 8 hours without a followup, I called NAT back and spoke to a different rep. I was informed that NAT does not guarantee their quotes and they could not guarantee that another carrier would be available for my target date within their quoted price. That is unacceptable. NAT failed in basic customer service by simply not providing the service for the quoted price. With less than 36 hours until my desired transport, I made alternate pickup arrangements, cancelled by order, and changed to different company that would guarantee their quoted price and that a carrier would be available within a reasonable range of time. Do not use this company despite its other 'good' reviews.
